Espoon työväenopiston Espoonlahden toimipisteessä on taidenäyttely, jossa kuvataidetta opiskelevat tuovat teoksiaan nähtäville. Näyttelyyn osallistuu Karoliina Pertamon, Dan Palmgrenin ja Eeva-Riitta Vilkunan kurssien opiskelijoita. Keramiikkaa alueella opettavat Arja Karjalainen ja Nina Karpov. Keramiikkaa on esillä keramiikkaluokan näyteikkunassa.

ACHIMOTA ANGLICAN PRIMARY SCHOOL,ACCRA, GHANA.

The Rosewell Foundation is a small registered NGO [non-governmental organisation]Charity established by Norma Rose and Broderick Wellington 10 years ago to help the needy, both old and young, in Ghana.

In April this year we have had a request from the above Primary School in Achimota Accra to help buy school uniforms for a number of underprivileged children.These children are from families who are existing on approximately $1 per day and without a school uniform the children would not be allowed to attend school.

Any money donated would go towards providing the opportunity for a child to go to school and you can be assured that it will go directly to the children in most need of help and not in any form of administration costs. (£10 would cover the cost both of fabric and sewing, either a skirt or shorts and a shirt and a pair of shoes all bought locally, for one child). A local seamstress is willing to make up the uniforms.

Norma will be returning to Ghana at the end of July and would like to thank you in advance for any help you feel able to give to this request.

Night has fallen
…Onto blue rising dawn
As day is calling
……From under its gown
Birds in their singing
What a beautiful day
Enjoyment in bringing
That’ll guide us the way

As shades goes crisper
In their shadow dancing
The breezes will whisper
Their adore romancing
Between trees and leaves
And bouquets of flowers
Away with wintry grieves
For spring fresh dowers

A new day’s rising
Full of hope and delight
In its new ways surprising
That is not of the night
Soon there is spring
With its playful escalation
And together we´ll sing
Like one flower nation…
